These elegant, large curve earrings feature the timeless Greek key motif. We custom-make them in 14k or 18k gold, as well as in white or rose gold.
The meander pattern—also known as the Greek key or Greek fret—takes its name from the river Meander, famous in Homer’s Iliad for its winding course.
In Ancient Greece, people used this motif to symbolize infinity and the eternal flow of life. Many also linked it to the Cretan labyrinth, using its linear form to echo the labyrinth’s intricate paths.
Beyond its geometric beauty, the meander represents friendship, love, and the enduring bond between people. Its twisting lines also resemble the serpent, a sacred symbol of protection and healing.
