These 14k solid Gold Greek Key Trapezium Earrings feature a secure pin and butterfly lock (push-back closure). Each earring has a hollow back and a flat, polished front that highlights the timeless geometric motif.
Upon request, we can create these earrings in 14k or 18k gold, as well as in white or rose gold.
The meander motif takes its name from the Meander River, famous for its winding path and mentioned by Homer in the Iliad. Also known as the Greek Key or Greek fret, the meander stood as one of the most important
symbols in Ancient Greece and represented infinity and the eternal flow of life. Many also linked the design to the Cretan labyrinth, as the meander reflects a labyrinth in linear form. Its twisting pattern symbolizes friendship and love,
while its serpent-like form evokes guardianship and healing. Our artisans handcraft every jewelry piece in our workshop in the center of Athens, drawing inspiration from the rich history and symbolism of Ancient Greece.
