14k solid Gold Greek Trapezium Earrings with a pin and butterfly lock (push back). We polish both sides of each earring and keep the back flat to match the front. Upon request, we also craft these earrings in 18k gold, white gold, or pink gold.
The Meander motif takes its name from the Meander River, known for its winding path and mentioned by Iliad. People also know the motif as the Greek key or Greek fret. In Ancient Greece, the meander served as an important symbol of infinity and the eternal flow of life.
Many scholars connect it to the Cretan labyrinth, as the meander forms a linear version of a labyrinth. Its twisting pattern also symbolizes friendship and love, while some interpretations associate it with the serpent, a symbol of guardianship and healing.
We handcraft all of our jewelry in our workshop in the center of Athens, drawing inspiration from Ancient Greek history.
