Description
14k gold Greek Key (Meander) link bracelet for a classic look. Its highly polished links have a width of 0.75cm. The bracelet includes a box clasp to uphold strength and comfort. The meander motif took its name from the river Meander, a river with a very convoluted path, mentioned by Homer in Iliad. The motif is also known as the Greek key or Greek fret. Meander was the most critical symbol in Ancient Greece, symbolizing infinity or the eternal flow of things. It is considered that there is a connection with the Cretan labyrinth – the meander is the figure of a labyrinth in linear form. The twisting pattern symbolizes the bonds of friendship, of love and has also been thought to mimic the serpent, a symbol of guardianship and healing. Perhaps this is why the design was also used on armor, such as the shield of Philip II of Macedon. Any customization is possible and can be provided in any color and carat of gold. All of the products are handcrafted in our workshop in the center of Athens and are inspired by ancient Greek history.
