This 14k yellow gold Classic Greek key link necklace offers a classic look. Its high-polished links measure 4mm in width. The Classic Greek Link Necklace features a box clasp for strength and comfort. The meander motif, named after the river Meander mentioned in Homer’s Iliad, symbolizes infinity and the eternal flow of things. Known as the Greek key or Greek fret, the meander motif connects to the Cretan labyrinth, symbolizing bonds of friendship and love. It also mimics the serpent, a symbol of guardianship and healing, and appeared on ancient armor, like the shield of Philip II of Macedon. We offer this Greek key link necklace in 14k and 18k gold, or in any color of gold. All our jewelry pieces are handcrafted in our workshop in the center of Athens, inspired by ancient Greek history.
