Presenting the Minoan Honey Bee Pendant #5, a stunning reproduction crafted in 14k gold by Kotinos Jewelry. Unearthed in 1930 at Chrysolakkos, Malia, Crete, this pendant dates back to the Middle Bronze Age (1800 – 1600BC). It intricately depicts two bees transporting honey to their hive, a symbolic representation of mutual support and fertility. Known as “melissa” in Greek, the honeybee holds cultural significance and is revered in the Minoan civilization. Exhibited at the Heraklion Archaeological Museum in Crete, this pendant showcases the artist’s mastery of granulation and filigree techniques. The Minoan Honey Bee Pendant #5 is the fifth size in this collection. Please note, the pendant price excludes the 14k gold chain. Handcrafted in our Kotinos Jewelry workshop, each piece is inspired by ancient Greek history.
