Description
14k gold Greek Key (Meander) wedding band ring. This ring is made of solid gold and the inner side is hollow. A meander or meandros is a decorative border constructed from a continuous line, shaped into a repeated motif. It was among the most important symbols in ancient Greece, and perhaps symbolized infinity and unity. It is considered that there is a connection with the Cretan labyrinth – the meander is the figure of a labyrinth in linear form. The twisting pattern symbolizes as well the bonds of friendship, of love and has also been thought to mimic the serpent, symbol of guardianship and healing. Perhaps this is why the design was also used on armor, such as the shield of Philip II of Macedon. Any customization is possible for this Greek key wedding ring and it can be provided in any size, carat or color of gold. All our jewelry pieces are handcrafted in our workshop in the center of Athens.
