Description
14k gold single-row bangle bracelet with lion heads from the “Alexander the Great” Collection. This bracelet is flexible and easy to wear. In Ancient Greece, lions were the symbol of power and wealth. A distinctive monument is the “Lion of Chaeronea”, a funerary statue erected to mark the common tomb of more than 250 members of the Sacred Band of Thebes who had been killed in the Battle of Chaeronea in 338 BCE. In this battle, Philip II of Macedonia defeated a coalition of Greek city-states, led by Thebes and Athens. All our jewelry pieces are handcrafted in our workshop in the center of Athens.
